Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA)
Founded in 1986, the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) has become an important international educational forum in the field of transnational arbitration, counting among its members and contributors today many of the leading arbitrators and arbitration counsel in the world.
Through our annual international arbitration workshops and conferences, our Advisory Board which meets annually during the June Workshop in Dallas, our quarterly publication News and Notes (with its regularly updated Scoreboard of Adherence to Transnational Arbitration Treaties), our DVD Library and book series developed through the work of our Academic Council, our co-sponsorship of KluwerArbitration.com through the work of our Board of Reporters and our newest publication World Arbitration and Mediation Review (a law journal edited by our Board of Editors), the ITA is making a significant contribution to the international arbitration legal community.
Young ITA promotes the involvement of young professionals (under 40) and law students in ITA’s programs, publications and other activities. Often in cooperation with other young lawyer organizations, Young ITA annually presents a young arbitrators’ Roundtable during the ITA Workshop in Dallas, the ITA-IEL-ICC Joint Conference on International Energy Arbitration in Houston and the Americas Workshop in Latin America. Young ITA also presents YOUNG ITA TALKS# events for young arbitrators periodically in other cities around the world.
