Railen Hernández, of counsel
Railen is an attorney in law graduated from Andrés Bello Catholic University (Caracas, Venezuela), he has professional experience litigating before the Inter-American and Universal Human Rights System.
As student, he acquired experience as Legal Assistant of Banctrust & Co, Investment Banking (Caracas), and Legal Assistant of the Administrative Law Department at Badell & Grau Law Firm (Caracas), after graduating he was part of the Civilis Human Rights NGO (Caracas) as International Legal Advisor, where he guided the NGO in relation to the documentation of cases, as well as their defense before the Inter-American and Universal Human Rights Protection System.
He was also judicial representative at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the Deputy of the National Assembly of Venezuela Williams Dávila, and professional visitor at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. He has participated in more than 6 international competitions representing his university and his country, namely: Venezuelan Model of United Nations (Movenu International), Model United Nations of Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá Colombia), in 3 opportunities in the Inter-American Competition of Human Rights "Eduardo Jiménez Aréchaga" (San Jose, Costa Rica), twice as speaker and one as coach and in the V Commercial Arbitration Competition of the Caracas Chamber of Commerce. He was part of the student representation of his University during two periods 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, and has served as a Judge in several Human Rights and Public International Law competitions both nationally and internationally.
