Herman Duarte is authorized to practice law in Costa Rica and El Salvador. He obtained his degree in Legal Sciences at the Higher School of Economics and Business of El Salvador, which was validated by the University of Costa Rica. He also holds a master's degree in law (Master of Laws, LLM) in international commercial arbitration from the University of Stockholm, Sweden.

The lawyer Herman Duarte implements legal strategies to reduce the risk of lawsuits or prepare the ground for litigation, my work covers from the drafting of contracts, review of communications in the contract execution, advice in cases of contractual termination and eventual claims for damages and damages in court and arbitration. Although it is true that I focus on the solution of commercial disputes (Judicial Arbitration / Litigation), it also represents clients in criminal, family, labor, constitutional and administrative litigation before the abuses of the State.

In addition to founding Hduarte Legål, a specialized law firm that resolves judicial disputes and arbitrations, he is the founder of the Igualitxs Foundation, a think tank, strategic litigation center and campaigns in favor of minorities of sexual diversity. Mr. Duarte is also a member of the boards of the Rule of Law Association of Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Institute of Civil Procedural Law, serves as the Latin American official for the human rights committee of the International Bar Association and is the Costa Rican ambassador. for the Arbitrator Intelligence program

Duarte has been a speaker at more than 60 law conferences that address issues such as: international arbitration, psychological analysis of arbitration and LGBT rights; in 10 countries of America (Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and the United States of America) and 4 countries in Europe (France, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom). Events organized by Harvard Law School, University of Cambridge, University of Stockholm, University of Oslo, Sciences Po, Young ITA, Youth ICCA, UPAZ, ICC-YAF, University of Costa Rica, University of El Salvador, University of Buenos Aires, ULACIT , DENTONS, José Matías Delgado University (PHD level), UTN, Costa Rican Young Arbitrators, Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador, AMCHAM Costa Rica, AMCHAM-LIMA and the Attorney General of the Republic of El Salvador.

Herman Duarte is the author of a treatise on discrimination, liberties and sexuality, co-author of 5 books on procedural law, psychology applied to the law. Opinion columnist (2011-present) with presence in Costa Rica and El Salvador, in 5 different publications with a total of more than 55 publications covering different topics such as international arbitration, democracy, LGBT rights and the fight against corruption . Several publications in legal journals and magazines in the United States, Costa Rica and El Salvador. Presence of media in more than 150 publications with stories presented by The Economist, The Local (Sweden), Yahoo News, Washington Blade, The Republic, La Nación, La Prensa Gráfica, El Diario de Hoy, among others.
